Who I Am
Dr. Emilio Climent-Gil
Phd in Sociology, specializing in sustainability and cooperation for development, with cum laude and proposal of a special award. A member of the Joint Unit of R & D on Social Research in the Environment (UA – CIEMAT – CISOT) of the Ministry of Science and Innovation.
After coordinating the Department of counseling and Applied Social Research in Fili Social Innovation, currently developing my activity as an independent consultant, focused on the transfer of knowledge from academia to professional practice and decision-making in public and private institutions.
My work is focused on the design, implementation and evaluation of public policies and organizational strategies, with special attention to the Equal action Plans, Strategic Plans, Plans for Social Inclusion, Plans of Childhood and Adolescence, as well as the effective integration of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGS) and the Agenda 2030, in companies and public administrations. Also advise on processes of management of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
I collaborate regularly with researchers and researchers from various disciplines —biologists, economists, architects, engineers, computer scientists, among others— in the framework of interdisciplinary teams oriented to face challenges social and environmental complex.
I have participated in research projects in Brazil, Chile, Peru, Senegal, and Spain, and I have published multiple papers in international scientific journals such as the Journal of Environmental Management, Journal of Applied Ecology, or Environmental Impact Assessment Review.
My approach combines academic rigor, field experience and practical guidance to accompany processes of social transformation with impact.
